Family & friends are

Please watch quietly, use
a soft voice only. |

Please take noisy children,
toys, cell phones outside. |

Please do not talk to or
distract students in class. |

Bring only plain water;
no other drinks, candy, gum, snacks. |

Do not touch anything unless
you are sure it is okay. |
|
Adults may help us answer
the phone; please ask before you place calls. |
|
Arrive on time; kids no
earlier than ten (10) minutes before class. |
|
Do not come if you are sick
or contagious. |
|
Beginners train at least
twice per week, seniors more often. |
|
Wear a plain white undershirt,
hair band, etc.; no jewelry. |
|
Do not wear your uniform
outside training area. |
|
Do not leave training area
without permission. |
|
Use bathroom before or after
class only, except in emergency. |
|
Unless teacher supervises,
no sparring, wrestling, running, rolling, falling, sitting,
lying down. |
|
Do not leave without saying
goodbye to teacher. |
|
Kids must leave with their
responsible adult. |
|
Pay fees promptly. |
|
Do not fight or show off. |
|
Do not demonstrate or teach
without our permission. |

Students enter Dojang & Get to
Work:

Come in with your shoes
on. |
|
Bow to Do-jang. |
|
Take your off shoes, put
with others' shoes. |
|
Move your card to "present" box. |
|
Take your bag to the farthest
end of floor. |

Put on Taekwondo shirt,
etc. |
|
Put your belt on balance
bar (unless you can tie it yourself.) Do not ask Teacher/Coach
for help. If we see it and have time, we may call you
to help tie it. If not, you do class without belt but
still take your regular place in line. |
|
Any time your belt falls
off, only Teacher/Coach may pick it up (this is for safety
and order.) |
|
Get to work at a Before-class
Station |

When you are late, get ready
for class but do not join the class until coach or teacher
lets you in. |

Target Holding Safety:

Fingers flat on board, not
curled board flat against palm heel. |

Thumb tight against hand

Front knee bent - Not locked

especially on flying kicks. |

Board fragment caution:
holders turn face away from boards, bystanders stay alert. |

Plastic board caution: plastic
boards break with much more rebound velocity than wooden
boards. |
